The Victoria Beckham documentary premiered on Netflix on Wednesday night, with an event in London celebrating the “High Class” singer-turned-designer in style.
While Beckham’s wardrobe choices have evolved from little black Gucci dresses and ’90s blunt bob haircuts to a sleeker, more sophisticated style, her Spice Girl best friends still stand by her side.
Stepping onto the lilac carpet in honor of the girl group sisters were none other than Emma Bunton and Melanie ‘Mel C’. Chisholm and Geri Halliwell.
Posh, Baby, Sporty and Ginger Spice may have ditched their playfully themed Spice Girl outfits, but they looked more coordinated than ever. The women all wore monochrome looks with three variations of tailored suits.
The night’s star, Mrs. Beckham, opted for a white midi skirt with a thigh-high slit, which she paired with an oversized white blazer with a white button-down draped over her shoulders.
Around her neck was a thin gold chain with a small diamond pendant. She wore two diamond-lined bracelets on her right wrist and a selection of rings, including a diamond pinky ring, an emerald ring, a thin platinum band, and a solitaire engagement ring from her husband, David.
Although the credits have not been confirmed, it appears to be similar to the ring she wore on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar UK’s December 2024 issue, including the emerald Isa Grutman.
Beckham’s family was supported by her husband David, sons Romeo and Cruz, and daughter Harper, but her eldest son Brooklyn and wife Nicola did not attend due to rumors of a possible separation.
Bunton emerged with her son in her arms, wearing a green tailored suit and a sheer mesh bodysuit underneath. It appeared to be the same Victoria Beckham design that Kate Middleton wore the next day, but in a different shade of green.
Chisholm opted for a similar outfit, wearing a black velvet suit with silk lapels over a cropped black tank. She attended the premiere with her boyfriend Chris Dingwall.
Halliwell opted for a lace maxi skirt, turtleneck and cardigan for a relaxed, bohemian vibe, but there was also a monochrome note as she opted for head-to-toe white for the occasion. Ginger Spice attended the event with her husband and daughter.
Although the full group shot hasn’t been shared yet, Chisholm, Bunton and Beckham posted together before the night’s main event began, smiling amid photographers’ flashbulbs.
While the public is eager to see the Spice Girls reunite, we may have to settle for red carpet appearances and private celebrations. Beckham addressed the possibility in episode two of his Netflix documentary.
“One of the girls actually said this to me, and it upset me just recently,” the fashion mogul reveals. “It was Melanie B. who said to me, ‘Don’t forget where you came from.'” I’ve never forgotten where I came from. I’ve never forgotten that the reason I’m sitting here today is because of Posh Spice. She may have been grumpy, but she was actually great. ”
Of the icons’ 2008 reunion tour, she went on to say, “It was nice to celebrate the Spice Girls, but it was during that tour that I realized I wasn’t supposed to be on stage. It was fun, but it wasn’t something I loved anymore.”
While the group won’t be hitting the main stage anytime soon, we’ll always be reminded of that epic video of all five women singing “Stop” at Beckham’s 50th birthday party last April.
