Jessica Madsen and Brett Gelman will both star in the upcoming Apple TV+ series Wild Things, Variety has learned exclusively.
The eight-episode series is based on the Apple Original podcast “Wild Things: Siegfried & Roy” and tells the story of the legendary Las Vegas magicians. Madsen and Gellman join previously announced stars Jude Law and Andrew Garfield, as well as fellow cast member Justin Theroux.
The show’s official logline states, “The story tells the story of a wild ride between two of history’s greatest showmen and magicians, who are tasked with transforming Sin City into a family-friendly destination, along with the White Tiger. The two push the notions of fantasy and reality to the extreme, both personally and professionally, until tragedy is reconstructed and the mystery surrounding the fateful Las Vegas show is revealed.”
Gellman will play Bernie Uman, Siegfried and Roy’s longtime manager, and Madsen will play Lynette Chappell. Chappell was a longtime friend and on-stage collaborator of the duo, appearing in their act as the “Evil Queen.”
Madsen is best known for playing Cressida Cowper in Netflix’s hit Regency drama Bridgerton, but has also appeared in shows such as Mr Selfridge and Babylon. In film, he is known for his work in Rambo: Last Blood and Leatherface. Next, he will appear in Amazon Prime Video’s Viking drama “Bloodaxe”.
