Cam Newton has welcomed his ninth child.
The NFL player revealed he has become a father for the ninth time on an upcoming episode of “The Tamron Hall Show” after being asked about his pregnancy.
“So, are we expecting your ninth baby?” host Tamron Hall asked him in footage obtained by Us Weekly on Wednesday.
“Oh, he’s already here,” Newton replied, and the crowd erupted in applause.
The infant is Newton’s second baby with his girlfriend, Jasmine Brown. They have not yet revealed the baby’s gender or name, nor have they mentioned the birth on social media.
The 36-year-old comedian debuted her bump on Instagram in May, announcing her pregnancy news.
“Feeling all the love for all the kicks and elbows 🤣🥰,” Brown wrote at the time. “Cheers to our growing tribe. #happymothersday.”
She gave birth to her first child, a daughter, in March 2024, but the couple kept the 1-year-old’s name and face private.
Additionally, Newton is co-parenting his older children with ex-girlfriends Kia Proctor and La Reina Shaw, and Brown teased that they were pregnant with a toddler.
In 2023, she referred to herself as “Baby Mama 3” and wrote, “Third time is (sic) a talisman.”
Newton, in particular, became a father in 2015 when he and Proctor’s son Chosen, now 9, was born.
The former couple went on to welcome sons Sovereign Dior, 8, Kamidas, 7, and Cashmere, 4.
The duo split when the former athlete had six-year-old son Caesar with Shaw.
Proctor and Shaw each have children from previous relationships, daughter Shakira, 18, and son Jaden, 19, who Newton considers to be his own.
“I’m proud to say that I have eight children. Six of them are biologically through me,” the former quarterback told “Club Shay Shay” viewers last year, explaining that he “doesn’t believe in stepchildren.”
He continued, “What my biological children got, they all get. It’s not like I don’t have favorites. I’m raising kings and queens.”
Newton began dating Brown in 2021, and two years later he said on the Funky Friday podcast that they were “in tune.”
In a 2023 episode, he gushed, “There’s nothing I can’t talk about. I think that’s the most important thing. I have nothing to hide. There’s nothing.”
