Travis Kelsey is ‘terrified’ of his father Ed Kelsey hearing Taylor Swift’s provocative song ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ about ‘Wood’.
During Wednesday’s episode of the “New Heights” podcast, the NFL star’s younger brother Jason Kelce cheekily suggested he listen to the album live with the patriarch.
“I’m scared,” the Kansas City Chiefs star said with a deadpan expression on his face.
“[We should]let Papa Kelce hear ‘Wood’ live and hear his reaction,” Jason, 37, further teased.
The retired Philadelphia Eagles star said with a laugh that even if he didn’t get a reaction from Ed on camera, “I’ll do it regardless.”
As Travis laughs, Jason adds, “I just do it.”
Elsewhere in the episode, Jason jokingly tried to get the Kansas City Chiefs star to share his thoughts on the vile truck.
“‘Wood.’ Great, great soundtrack,” the retired athlete quipped.
“It’s a great song,” Travis agreed with a laugh.
Unable to compose himself, Jason asked, “Do you think I’m insecure or cocky about the song ‘Wood’?”
“No,” Travis said. “Every song she mentions me in is so great…I love that girl, what do you mean? Every song she references me in some way…”

Jason then stated that the track was not about the tight end, but about his “appendage.”
“What? I don’t think you understand the song. There’s no way!” Travis teased.
In the risqué song, Swift references her and Travis’ sex life, singing, “Forgive me, that sounds sassy/He matized me (ah!)/And opened my eyes/A sequoia tree/It ain’t hard to see/His love was the key/That opened my thighs.”
“Girls, I don’t need a bouquet of flowers/To know that solid rock is near/(…)/The curse on me was broken by your magic wand,” she continued.
The Grammy winner told SiriusXM’s “Morning Mash Up” on Monday that the song can be interpreted in many different ways, and revealed that his mother, Andrea Swift, believes the song is about “superstition.”
