Joy Behar had some cheeky fun on double duty as she joked that her “hole is dry” while celebrating her 83rd birthday on Tuesday’s episode of “The View.”
The panellist was referring to her ear piercings when she tried to drop off her personal clip-on earrings during a festive tag sale.
“In honor of my 39th birthday, it’s time for our annual birthday tag sale. And since I’m such a giver, you can join in on the fun, too, as I have some personal belongings from me and my co-hosts,” Behar said before sharing her “amazing” contributions.
“Right now, I have a great collection of clip-on earrings. Whenever I find them, I buy them because I’ve run out of holes,” she continued.
Finally, Ms. Behar showed off a pair of Oscar de la Renta clip-on earrings she bought at a yard sale from a couple who were divorcing.
“Very touching, isn’t it?” she teased, and co-host Sarah Haines added that they “bring good luck.”
“Maybe it’s worth it because I might get divorced if I get this,” Behar joked back.
On a serious note, the comedian went on to say that proceeds from the sale will go to one of Behar’s “favorite charities,” The Retreat, a nonprofit that provides safety and support to victims of domestic violence.
Elsewhere in the episode, Behar reflected on her long tenure as a daytime talk show host after receiving several happy birthday messages from her co-hosts, including Haynes and Whoopi Goldberg.
“You know, 25 years ago, or whenever it was, I was on the show with Rosie O’Donnell. When was that, 40 years ago? She said, ‘Tell me how old are you?’ I said, “I feel dizzy.” So can you imagine the dizziness I’m having right now? ” Behar joked.
“You make it look good, Joy,” Haynes assured her. “I own it and I fly that flag.”
Behar celebrated her 82nd birthday on the show with a surprise hot and cheeky pizza delivery strip tease from Nathan Lane.
