Things you need to know
One thing is certain: when November 21st comes, we will change forever.
While Wicked: For Good is still over a month away, Universal Pictures is secretly showing fans two original songs from the much-anticipated musical film Part 2.
Cynthia Erivo’s Elfaba will be singing a new song, “No Place Like Home,” an obvious homage to Dorothy’s catchphrase in The Wizard of Oz, while Ariana Grande’s Glinda will be performing her new original song, “The Girl in the Bubble.”

The two-part film is based on the popular Broadway musical Wicked, but these two original songs are the first musical forks of the film from the original, written and composed by Stephen Schwartz.
In an exclusive clip shared on the Today Show on Wednesday, October 8th, fans had the opportunity to hear the lyrics for the title of the two songs sung by the film’s lead in a mashup of the second part of the musical.

Both songs seem to be passionate ballads from two impressive vocalists, with Erivo adding melodic riffs to Dorothy’s iconic lines.
In the new teaser, Jonathan Bailey’s Fiero sings the passionate love song “As Long as You’re Mine,” Glinda sings a verse from “Thank Goodness,” Elphaba sings the powerful lyrics to “No Good Deed,” and the two female leads are then harmonized on the title song “For Good.”
The clip was released to commemorate tickets for the movie, which will be released on October 8th. “Wicked: Part 1” will be released at the end of 2024, covering the events of the first act of the Broadway musical, ending with the highlight “Defying Gravity.”
The cast including Erivo, Grande, Bailey, Jeff Goldblum, Michelle Yeo, Ethan Slater, Marissa Bode and Bowen Yang will be returning for the second installment.
“Wicked: For Good” will be released in theaters on November 21st.
