Amazon Prime Video has decided on the main voice actors for the animated comedy series “Kevin.”
Originally announced in May 2024, Kevin stars Jason Schwartzman (Isle of Dogs, The French Dispatch) and Aubrey Plaza (The White Lotus, Emily the Criminal). ), Whoopi Goldberg (The Lion King, Sister Act), John Waters (Hairspray, Liarmouth), and Aparna Nancherla (The Great North). “Bob’s Burgers”), Gil Ozeri (“Big Mouth,” “Monsters”), and Amy Sedaris (“BoJack Horseman,” “At Home with Amy Sedaris”).

Plaza is also a co-creator of the series along with Joe Wengert. The official logline says the show is “inspired by a cat caught between a breakup in real life. ‘Kevin’ is a hilarious and heartwarming story about finding one’s place in the world. Plaza and Wengert also serve as executive producers on Kevin, with Wengert also serving as showrunner. Dan Murphy, Chris Plinoski, Ben Kalina, Shannon Plinoski, and Antonio Canobbio will serve as executive producers. The series is produced by Titmouse, Plaza, Murphy’s Evil Hag Productions, and Amazon MGM Studios.
Character description

– Judy (Aparna Nanchera): A kind but sickly Scottish Fold kitten. With a positive attitude and an unwavering belief that the perfect human is just around the corner, we welcome Kevin to our local pet rescue.
–Armando (John Waters): A gorgeous, sarcastic, and serious Persian cat. In order to gain freedom from life as an “independent” cat, she vowed to get rid of all humans.
–Cupcake (Whoopi Goldberg): An unpredictable hairless cat, Cupcake is proud and wild – she’s only squatting at pet rescue so long as it provides an opportunity to fool humans and animals alike
