My hair is thrown back.
Demi Moore won bangs in Gucci’s new short film, bringing back the iconic beauty look that was made over 30 years.
The 62-year-old actress was the first time she’d performed a fake fringe since starring in 1996’s Strip Show.
On Monday, Moore captioned the Instagram carousel, “Bangs, and now,” and shared a photo of her new look alongside stills of her early roles. “Thank you @gucci for bringing the fringe back to the first time since the strip era!”
The actress kept her casual look with a white T-shirt and jeans, shining a spotlight on her waist-length dark brown hair.
The bangs were created for Moore’s character, Barbara Gucci, in the luxury brand film The Tiger. Directed by Spike Jones.
Hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos shared behind the scenes details of the transformation on her Instagram account, revealing that her vision was brought together during a creative meeting with Moore, Gucci creative directors Demna, Jones and director Harina Lane.
“I was thrilled when @Demi Moore called me to share some exciting news about @gucci’s new film and asked me to make the character’s hair!” wrote Jannetus.
“Demna has the idea for bangs called ‘Gucci Vans’ and he’s always got the right vision,” he continued, sharing before and after Moore arrived on set with no makeup in jeans. “After we made ‘Gucci Bangs’, everyone knew that it was the perfect fit for this film!”
Moore famously had rounded her bangs when she played FBI director-to-stripper Erin Grant in Strip Show 30 years ago. However, she phased out her bangs before the film was released and shaved her head for filming “GI Jane.”
The “Ghost” star has made a career revival since being highly praised for her performance in the 2024 body horror film The Substance, winning a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress and an Oscar nomination.
Clearly it’s the season for celebrities to transform their bangs. Nicole Kidman also recently showed off his fresh bangs at a Chanel fashion show after breaking up with Keith Urban after 19 years of marriage.
