Jenna Bush Hager finds comfort in her children.
On Monday, October 6th, the 43-year-old ex-old daughter posted a new entry to her voice in a table newsletter, where she revealed about her parents in the modern world. In the entry, Bush Hager shared a snap of her daughter Mira’s answers to her homework. There, the 12-year-old responded to the prompt “I want you.”
“My daughter shed tears from this school assignment, and she replied, ‘I want it.’ “Bush Hager wrote in her Instagram story promoting the release of her latest newsletter.

In the assignment, Bush Hager’s daughter writes that “the world is peaceful and scary, and she wants to be fake” and that she “want to see my mother when she’s at my age.” The doting mother said that her daughter’s deep words “put me in tears.”
“I have sometimes found the most comfort in the beauty and innocence of my children,” she wrote. “All I have to do is read their assignments, embrace them at night, pay attention to what they say is creative and loving, and our world feels full of such profound, sparkly hope.”
She added, “When I see them sleep, I feel that our world is a beautiful beach and filled with sea glass of colours that I have never found before.”
Bush Hager shares her children with her husband, Henry Hager. Their daughters, Mira and Poppy, 10 years old, were born in 2013 and 2015, respectively. The couple later welcomed their son Hal, 7 years old, in 2019.
Over the years, she has been open about her motherly journey, acknowledging that “logistics can become difficult” as her family grows. Today, she is dedicated to “make sure each child has the love they know what I feel for them.”
She often raves about children today, but the proud mom keeps it true, sharing, “I’m just hiding from the kids in the pantry and having cheese sticks.”
Still, she is always looking for a silver lining with them at each moment. “I’m trying to find the love and joy that I know I have for my children, even the boring parts of parenting,” she added.

Bush Hager doesn’t necessarily want his daughters to follow in her footsteps.
Today with Jenna & Friends co-hosts, National Daughter Day, an episode of the show on Thursday, September 25th, and with guest co-host Schoenell Jones, Jones began talking about her 13-year-old daughter Clara.
“I actually hope for it – and I’m going to say it – I actually hope for my daughter, her teenage years – she turned 13 a month ago – I hope she’s like me, like me. I was a great teenager.” “Oh, wait, it will liven you up perfectly.”
With a deadpan look on his face, Bush Hager replied, “Yeah, I hope my daughter isn’t like me.”
