Travis Kelse gave Taylor Swift almost his surprise suggestion.
The 35-year-old singer of “Fate of Ophelia” gushed out about her engagement moment on a Monday night episode of “Tonight’s Show starring Jimmy Fallon.”
After the pop star congratulated her engagement, Fallon, along with his brothers Jason Kelce and Swift, nurtured how Travis proposed after filming the podcast “New Heights.”
“For Travis, the podcast was like a distraction, sort of a trick, to keep me out of my window,” the singer explained.
“Every time he does a podcast, he doesn’t close all of his windows,” she pointed out, “there was a complete blackout drape in every window in the entire house.”
He thought he was “really serious” giving her privacy to do a podcast, and she knew something was going on when she noticed his tension.
She said, “I realized (say) he was a bit nervous about the podcast, “My mind is racing. …I know how much this means to you. I really hope this is what you wanted.”
“Because we were talking about doing podcasts and releasing an album. I’ve never seen this guy get nervous.
After filming the podcast, Travis asked Swift.
“I always want to do that,” she told Fallon.
She called this the “best possible scenario.”
On August 26th, “Honey” singer and Travis announced they were engaged after a two-year date.
At the time, Page 6 exclusively revealed that Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 36, had proposed a fantastic cut sparkler from an old mine designed by Jeweler Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine.
During her sit-in with Fallon, Swift shut down claims that she had raised her own engagement during Selena Gomez’s speech at her wedding to Benny Blanco.
She also refused to reject her Super Bowl offer as the NFL would not let her own footage.
But Swift confirmed that Ed Sheeran learned about her engagement via social media, because “he doesn’t have a phone.”
