Yellow Film Studios, the largest independent studio in Scandinavia, has announced a strategic merger with Danish leading sales and fundraising studio Linev, with 255 Ireland’s Nordic and Parent-Born Yellow Film & Television Finland studios. Together, they are launching Renvent Yellow, a unified hub for production, sales, financing and innovation.
The new group has 33 years of production expertise, a catalog of thousands of titles and strong financial support, and has established itself as a one-stop partner for producers and buyers around the world. “Under one roof with content, strategy, funding, sales and technology, Renvent Yellow provides both creativity and solid financial support to its industry partners,” the company said in a statement.
The new partnership offers a “new strategic focus” and opportunity to form the backbone of the group’s work through co-production of third-party productions, internal projects and hybrids.
Reform Yellow:
•It focuses on English content and international collaboration, with the aim of providing commercially viable, creative, ambitious global content.
•On the TV side, the group prioritizes both top talent and original crime series, highlighting Renvent’s extensive catalogue, including the film representation of the legendary director Ingmar Bergman, represented by SF Studios.
Renvent Yellow invests heavily in new technologies across both sales and content creation, deploying specialized windowing strategies, technology-driven efficiency and innovative financing tools.
Renvent Yellow principal owner Heikki Herlin considers the company to be a “pioneer of powerful storytelling” in today’s multi-platform world.
“The heart of it is the promise to continue reinventing itself,” Herlin said.
“The merger is about future prevention,” said CEO Olli Haikka. “By integrating creative development, technology and innovative funding under one roof, we are creating smarter, faster, and more scalable entertainment businesses built for the change in the global market.”
“We create a space where the best talent wants to work. We can defend important stories and find an international market for them,” Associate CEO Ricke Ennis said. “With strong capitalization, we are ready to meet the competition, but we remain open-minded about trading and collaborating.”
Peter Barkman, chairman of Rinvent Yellow, added: “We form a new kind of team with deep market insights and investment muscles. We add cutting edge digitalization and AI entities 255pix, and have a truly unique skill set for international scaling and content creation.”
The new company will be led by a strong leadership team with complementary expertise.
