Taylor Swift revealed online rumors about herself when she appeared on “Tonight’s Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Monday.
After promoting her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, and attacking her “favorite person,” his fiance, Traviskells, Jimmy Fallon asks Swift to deal with some of the elephants in the room. He explained that he would read five recent rumors about her, then he must reveal which one is true.
The first rumor was to turn down Swift at the Super Bowl halftime show, as the NFL wouldn’t allow her to own the footage. The second was what his diva’s best friend, Ed Sheeran, learned about her engagement on Instagram.
Rumor 4 is that Swift was spotted walking a mystery dog in Florida. Finally, rumor 5 was that you can hear Kelce in harmony with her new track, “Oparite.”
When it was time for Swift to make a big reveal, she explained that it was rumors about Sheeran that it was true. “He doesn’t have a phone,” she explained.
It has been reported previously that Swift had made a joke about beating Gomez to the altar, but the singer confirmed that it never happened. “That’s wrong!”
“I gave a speech, and in fact I made a point about my engagement without saying anything,” she said. “I’ll tell you a bit because it was quite a year in 2008 because I met, when we were teenagers, so I’ll tell you a little. How happy I am for her and how part of her life, I didn’t do that about me.”
The talk show’s appearance marked the second time that pop superstars had since the release of their highly anticipated 12th studio album, as it appeared on “The Graham Norton Show” when it dropped last Friday.
In “The Life of a Showgirl,” Swift, who was engaged to Kelse in August, sings about falling in love with an NFL star.
She unveiled her new album when she first appeared on his “New Heights” podcast.
While the two spoke with his brother and co-host Jason Kelce, Travis set the elaborate background for his romantic proposals in his Leewood garden-like backyard in the Kansas Estate.
“He surprised me and really crushed it,” Swift, 35, gushed at the Graham Norton Show.
“While we spoke on his podcast, he had a complete garden built behind his house.”
The singer-songwriter was amazed.
The couple waited about two weeks before sharing the news with the world.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are married,” they captioned a joint Instagram post featuring five photos from the dream engagement.
Meanwhile, Fallon, 51, appeared on Swift’s show late last month, hinted at a teaser filled with Easter eggs.
The clip showed the comedian playing roulette and placing his tips on the numbers 10 and 6, the dates for Swift’s appearance.
Turning the wheels the ball landed at its favorite number: 13.
“Baby, that’s YA show business,” Fallon said before leaving the room and entering the hallway. There, she was trampled down by three women dressed in showgirl costumes in orange, red and pink.
“Sorry, honey,” one of them said they suspected the fans were referring to Truck 11 “Honey.”
Fallon captioned Cheekiely in an Instagram post that said “it’s not progressing much at this point,” but later returned to the comments section to confirm the Grammy Award winner as a guest.
