There isn’t much love for Meghan Markle in the city of love.
The Duchess of Sussex faces backlash to share a video of Instagram stories riding in a limo, with her feet up near the tunnel in Paris, where her mother-in-law Princess Diana, who died tragically in 1997, died.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams blew up social media uploads “totally confused” and “silly” on Saturday, calling the post “insensitive beyond belief.”
He told the Daily Mail: “I don’t understand what she was thinking. Well, she didn’t. The advisor wouldn’t advise anything that strange.”
Several social media users also targeted the “Love Megan” star, 41.
In particular, the next bridge along the Seine is Pon Dharma, next to the Pon Dharma tunnel, where the late Wales accident occurred.
One X user labeled Markle “American Psycho.”
“If driving towards the scene of Princess Diana’s death is a message to Prince William, Meghan Markle is the devil,” another hater tweeted over the weekend.
The third netizen added that Markle “certainly proved her mental illness” by sharing the clip, adding that he claimed the move was “a new level of evil.”
The fourth called Markle the “devil,” but some social media users came to defend the “suit” alum.
“Would I raise my normal legs too?” It was attracted attention. “You don’t think this was done with malicious intentions? I think this was a human moment.
Markle representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Page 6.
Markle is currently taking part in Paris Fashion Week in Paris, with the former actress making headlines for her appearance on the Balenciaga show on Saturday.
The “no deal or contract” alum features a flowing cape and a white long-sleeved tunic with outing slack, pairing the ensemble with black heels, matching wallets and diamond stud earrings.
She was accused of taking part in the show after the brand was “cancelled,” but Markle officials said they were there to support Pal Pierpaolo Piccioli, who became the home’s creative director in July.
