It’s the glamour that continues to give.
Addison Ray stopped by “Tonight’s Show with Jimmy Fallon” on Thursday.
The 24-year-old pop star played her smash hit “Diet Pepsi” at a late-night show, sparkling across the stage in glittering layers of fringes.
Her stylist Dara posted a snap from her performance on Instagram, noting that the dress was sourced in a luxury vintage store in Los Angeles, the way we wore it.
It is clearly a piece made for the stage, featuring a beaded bodice with a lover’s neckline and bust swing tassel, along with a contrasting sparkling silver strap.
Footwear brand nou has adjusted the amber gem with its toes and customized a golden high heeled mule with the singer’s name engraved inside the sole.
“Thanks to @Dara._&The Incredible Team. You took us to Addison, the constant source of inspiration. Your love means the world,” the shoe brand posted.
Ray’s golden gown was originally seen in the 1958 film Screaming Mimi. Lee wore it with opera gloves and show stop fur steals for her iconic performance.
Dita von Teese owns a silver version of the same dress and displays it at the Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas.
Became one of the most famous burlesque performers of the 20th century, Lee wrote the 1941 bestselling mystery, The G-String Murders, and her early memoir, Gypsy. The latter adapted to Broadway musicals and was later adopted in a film starring Natalie Wood.
The way we wore it celebrated Full Sacred fashion moments on Instagram, “To see this history sparkling under the stage lights, it felt like pure fashion alchemy again.
“We are head over for this old Hollywood moment reborn as a modern pop phenomenon,” they continued. “An endless thanks to @dara._ and the Dream Team for believing in the power of vintage and making this gown shine in the spotlight once more.
