The reboot of “Scrub” on ABC closes the cast with a new, familiar face.

Variety is exclusively learning that a new iteration of its beloved sitcom has added nine repetitive guest stars. Among them are Vanessa Bayer (Saturday Night Live, “I Love It to You”, “Freekia Friday”), Joel Kim Booster (Fire Island”, “K-Pop: Demon Hunter”, “Root”).

Bayer plays Syby, who is said to “run a wellness program for the faculty and staff at Sacred Heart Hospital.” The booster will play Dr. Eric Park, who will be participating in Sacred Heart.

Additionally, both Robert Maschio (“Cougartown”, “Man at Work”) and Phil Lewis (“Zack and Cody’s Sweet Life”, “Deck’s Sweet Life”) recreate their roles from the original series as Todd and Fooch, respectively.

You will be participating in the series as a new intern class: Ava Bunn (“Inner Man”, “Five Star Weekend”), Serena, Jacob Dadman (“The Coral”, “The Last Kingdom: The Seven Kings Die”) as Asher, David Gridley (“The Last Ship”, “Rookie”), Blake, “Peruan Vaggie” Moreau (“Mirrorland”, “The Devil is Prada 2”) as Dashana.

The new addition will be featured alongside returning cast members Zack Bluff, Donald Faison, Sarah Charke, Judy Reyes and John C. McGinley.

Bayer is represented by Rise Management, UTA and Jackoway Austen Tyerman. The boosters are represented by Omnipop Talent Group, WME, and Felker Toczek Suddleson & Sechel PR. Lewis is represented by the CAA and 3 Art Entertainment. Bunn is represented by Gersh and OPE Partners. Dudman is represented by Artists Partnership, Canopy Media Partners and Prospers PR. Gridley is represented by Stewart Talent & 42. Mohammadi is represented by innovative, LBI entertainment and level talent groups. Moreau is represented by authentic talent and literary management, Gersh and Tearman of Jacoway Austin.

The official reboot logline states, “JD (Braff) and Turk (Faison) scrubed together for a long time, and their internship changed, but their bromance stood the test of time.

Fellow “Scrub” alumni Tim Hobert and Asiem Buttra will be executive producers and showrunners for the series’ revival, with Bill Lawrence’s executives producing via Dooser along with Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer. In addition to appearing in executive production for Randall Winston, Bluff, Feson and Charke are also executive produced. The 20th TV is the studio. Lawrence has a comprehensive contract with Warner Bros. Television, and the studio carves out a room for Lawrence to work with his former studio partner on “Scrubs.”
