Teddi Mellencamp revealed that her stage 4 cancer was “no longer” as she gave her a positive health update on her “Pod In a Pod In A” podcast.
“I had immunotherapy yesterday and scanned it to give you a little lifespan update. At this point there are no cancers that can be detected,” she told Dolores Catania on Friday’s episode.
“When they told me I was in such a shock. I was paralyzed. I’m still undergoing immunotherapy so I still have days when I feel sick.
Mellencamp revealed that she hasn’t yet completely out of the woods, but said, “I am not considered in remission or anything like that.”
“The way (the doctor) said it would work, that would be in remission after a year, two or three years,” she explained. “But that was the big news yesterday.”
The positive update comes after Mellencamp previously revealed that she has suspended immunotherapy treatments because she has felt sick.
“They do a lot of scans, everything looks good, everything is shrinking… But that’s because of immunotherapy that makes me feel so medically bad,” she explained in her podcast.
“So we’re going to take a little break from immunotherapy to make our bodies feel strong, and I’m on steroids and do everything I can to make them feel like they can do this.
The “real housewife” alum moved forward in 2022 with a stage 2 melanoma diagnosis.
After going through several steps to deal with cancer-related tumors over the years, Mellencamp revealed in April 2025 that her cancer had spread to the brain and lungs and had progressed to stage 4.
At the time, she claimed that doctors told her there was a “50/50” chance to survive a fatal illness.
“It’s one of my favorite things. ‘How long do you have to go?’ or ‘What’s my chance?’ And they often say ’50/50,'” Mellencamp said in a sit-in interview with ‘Nightline.’
She mimicked her shocked response, recalling her replies saying to her doctors, “I’m not going to buy a car that only drives 50/50?! I’m not going to buy a car that only drives 50%. I don’t want this!”
