The message photo, the purpose-driven production company behind Netflix, was a hit on “Katrina: Come Hell and High Water” and signed the wording with Verve.
Founded in 2022, the shop will send the acclaimed Sundance project, “The Perfect Neighbor,” to a limited theater, to award the award in October. The message evokes messages from acclaimed film director Geeta Gandbill, Oscar-nominated director Sam Pollard, and creative producer Alisa Payne. The company’s mission is to focus on storytelling from BIPOC and underrated communities.

Their flagship series, “Katrina,” commemorates the 20th anniversary of the Hurricane and its devastating impact on New Orleans. It premiered on August 27th and features episodes directed by Gundville, Samantha Knowles and Spike Lee, with Payne acting as a showrunner and producer. Lee, Pollard and Gundville were executive producers.
“The Perfect Neighbor” won the Juju Award at Sundance this year for director Gandville. The film examines how the seemingly minor neighborhood controversy in Florida has been caught up in fatal violence at theaters on October 10th and October 17th.
