HBO has added seven recurring stars to the cast of “Comeback” season 3, including Julian Stern, son of Star Li Sakudrow of the series, who is making their television debut.
In addition to Stern, new cast members include Abbie Jacobson, John Early, Barry Shabaka Henry, Tony Machut, Brittany O’Grady and Zane Phillips. Details surrounding the character remain under the rap.
Stern is represented by untitled entertainment.
Jacobson, who co-creates and stars with Ilana Glazer in “Broad City,” is represented by UTA and Jackoway Austen.
Starring in early TBS and the subsequent HBO Max’s “Search Party” are best known by UTA, Rise Management, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman Wertheimer Mandelbaum Morris Bernstein Trattner Auerbach Hynick Jaime Levine Sample & Klein.
Henry, who played Babatunde “Tande” Oratunji in CBS’s “Bob Hertz Abishola” for five seasons from 2019 to 2024, is represented by BRS Gage and Rugolo Entertainment.
On Matchet Broadway, which created the role of Simon in “Ah, Mary!”, there are Sweet 180 and Nicolosi & Co.
O’Grady, who starred in season one of HBO’s “The White Lotus,” is represented by CAA, Suskin/Karshan Management and Jackoway Austen.
The Phillips, which appeared on Searchlight’s “Fire Island” and Netflix’s “Glamoures,” are represented by BRS/Gage and Prime Talent Media.
Kudrow leads former sitcom actress As Valerie Cherish, who fights to return to the spotlight. Other returning cast members include Dan Bukatinski as Valerie’s spokesman Billy Stanton. Laura Silverman as Jane Benson, producer of Valerie’s reality show. Damien Young as Valerie’s husband, Mark Berman. Tim Bagley, Matt Cook, Jack O’Brien and Ella Stiller were previously reported to be in the cast for Season 3.
“Comeback” was created by Kudrow and Michael Patrick King. He is both executive producers along with Bukatinsky and John Melfi. The comedy series debuted on HBO in 2005 and returns to its second season in 2014. Production for season 3 is underway.
