Netflix has set the main cast for the advent of age drama The Body, Variety learned.
The series was originally announced in May with an order of eight episodes. According to the official logline, “After the dance team starts wrong, a group of Catholic female students with bad behavior begins to have a prophetic vision that causes massive hysteria in their town.”
The regulars in the show’s series are: Klaus (“King Kelly”, “Dive”), Maddie Delaney, Jackson Kelly (“Pill’s”Pet 15”), Elise Zakaria as Anya Butler, Sarah Bustaney (“Hello Beautiful”, “Pen 15”), Lisbeth Anderson as Gina Messzaros (“Order”, “Wayward”), Namdi Asomgar as “The Knife” Katherine Anderson, Shirley Chen (“Slant”, “Diddy”), Maddie Delaney, Leo Anderson as Jackson Kelly (“Pit”, “Tea Cup”), Sofia Wylie (“Series: High School Musical: Musical”
Additionally, five recurring cast members were added to the show. This includes Brit Bradley as Kyra Pierce (“Chicago Fire”), Bailey Bradley, Phallon Pierce (“Chicago Fire”), Marcel Ruiz (“Breakthrough”, “Time a Day”), Tyler Santos, Orlando Norman (The Lead You) as coach Miller.
Quinn Shephard created “The Body” and serves as director and executive producer. Peter Chernin, Amy Israel and Josh Stern will be executive produced for Felix Kalpa along with Riley Keew, Gina Gammel and Sacha Ben Harrosh, as well as executive produced Blair Blaird.
