Taylor Swift’s biggest cheerleader is her fiancé!
In an interview with BBC Radio 1 on Friday, October 3rd, the 35-year-old pop superstar opened up about her new record, The Life of a Showgirl, for Travis Kelce and his reaction.
“I’ll play it for him as soon as I come back from Sweden,” Swift told Greg James that he worked with Swedish producers Max Martin and Shelbach. “I’ll play it as soon as I get back, and I knew this was the album he loves the most.
Her appearance coincided with the release of her hotly anticipated 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl.
The “Shake It Off” singer first announced at Swift Teasing at 12:12am on August 12th, “Can I show you something?” With video clips shared on Instagram.
The Grammy Award winner revealed details of her new record on August 13th, appearing in the podcast of her boyfriend Travis Kels and his 37-year-old brother Jason Kels, New Heights.
Excited to share that the album will be called Showgirl Life, Swift shared that her “bright” new record reflects her life during her record-breaking Eras tour.
In addition to sharing release dates, Swift shared orange and mint green-themed cover art.

“This represents the end of my night,” she explained to Travis and Jason. “My show days are the same every day. I just have a different city. And my day ends with me in the tub,” although she admitted that she didn’t wear a “skewed dress” in the tub!
As for the album itself, the musicians shared it as “life beyond the show” and “everything happened behind the curtains.”
The hitmaker of “Champagne Problem” noted that she wrote the album while on the road for her ERAS tour, and frequently returned to Sweden to work with collaborators Max Martin and Shelbach during the tour’s European stint.

“I was mentally inspired and very excited to create,” she said, adding that Travis “literally lives a showgirl life,” and that the entire process is “exhausted.”
Travis, 35, noted that the new record was “Upbeat,” a “180-degree turnover from her last album, The Tortured Poets Department.”
“Life is brighter,” Swift explained in response, smiling and looking at her current fiancée, she announced her engagement on August 26th and shared the happy news that she and Travis were going to get married on Instagram.
“I’m so proud of it. It’s a bubbling to this record as it comes from the most infected and joyful, wild and dramatic place of my life,” Swift added enthusiastically.
