Prince William shows the love of his brothers.
In an unusual move amid the long-standing rift between William and Prince Harry, William mentions his younger brother when he appeared in Eugene Levy’s Apple TV+ series The Recructant Travelers.
William admits he and Harry had difficult upbringings as the Royals. One day he was asked about his eldest son, Prince George, 12, about his becoming king.
“Obviously, I want to create a world where my son is proud of what we do, the world and work that actually impacts people’s lives,” he says. “It is being warned, and we hope we don’t go back to some of the past practices.
William says he absolutely plans to “change” things for his children.
“Forever change,” William emphasizes. “And I embrace it and enjoy the change – I’m not afraid of it. It’s a bit that excites me, the idea that it can bring about some degree of change.”
“It’s not an overly radical change, but a change I think is necessary,” he continues.
Harry had retreated to the United States when he and his wife Meghan Markle retreated as working members of the royal family in 2020, moving to the country.
Harry has since published multiple complaints about his family, including the 2021 Oprah Winfrey interview with him and Markle, the 2022 Netflix Docuseries and the 2023 memoir, “Spare.”
However, Harry said in a May interview with the BBC, “I love reconciliation with (his) family.”
Harry made a 53-minute visit with his father, King Charles, during his four-day trip to the UK last month, but there was no meeting with William.
Kensington Palace announced that William had been booked with royal engagement through the visit of his brother, killing both hopes of reconciliation.
William, 43, is reluctant to reconcile with Harry, 41, because of “a sustained lack of trust” when it comes to Markle.
“Their concerns are well-founded,” she argued. “Personal family discussions could be made public or used in commercial projects.”
