Nicole Wallace, the Spanish star of “Culpa Mia” and “Culpa Tuya”, Prime Video’s biggest international originals, has signed an exclusive talent retention deal with Amazon MGM Studios.
Under the agreement, Wallace will work with Amazon MGM Studios to find projects that will allow him to appear on Prime Video across the company’s global television and film lineup. The first project under the contract starring Wallace is “Postcards from Italy.” This is a recently released Italian original series in English, created by Lisa Riccardi and Damiano Blue and created by Oscar-winning director Jessica Yu, including “13 Reasons”, “The Building’s Only Murder” and “Morning Show”. The news was announced earlier today at a Prime Video retreat event in Ibiza.
The “postcard from Italy” follows the misfortune of Mia, a young, spoiled New York heir, sent to Palermo by her grandfather and sent to Palermo to work as a family-run real estate agent without money or luxuries. Production began in September. The series is co-produced by Gaumont Italia and Amazon MGM Studios and is only available on Prime videos in over 240 countries and regions around the world.
The holdings follow the incredible success of the “culpables” franchise, based on the main trilogy of Mercedes Ron’s New York Times bestseller “culpables.” The first two films in the trilogy, entitled “Culpa Mía” and “Culpa Tuya,” starring Wallace, broke records as the most viewed international originals on Prime Video in 2023 and 2024, respectively.
“Nicole Wallace has connected with an audience around the world through authentic performances in the Calpables franchise,” said Nicole Clemens, International Originals Vice President of Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios. “Her natural ability to bring emotional depth to her character resonates with audiences from various countries and cultures. This talent deal represents excitement at Nicole’s global potential and reinforces our commitment to cultivating emerging international talent that will help us tell persuasive stories for a global audience.”
Wallace, who has dual US and Spanish citizenship, said:
“As I prepare to play “Mia” on an Italian postcard directed by the brilliant Jessica Yu, I feel more inspiration than ever to push myself creatively and explore the character with depth and complexity,” Wallace continued. The actor also praised Amazon MGM Studios for his “a bold and fearless commitment to storytelling.”
The final chapter of the “Culpables” franchise, “Culpa Nuestra” (“Our Fault”), will premiere on Prime Video 16. This already broke the record in the most watched trailer with 163 million viewers in a week.
Wallace has also appeared in Chile’s upcoming Amazon original limited series, The House of Spirits, which comes from the film name, Fabra and producer Eva Longoria. The show will premiere in 2026. Based on Isabel Allende’s acclaimed novel, “The House of Spirits,” Wallace performs the young Clara del Barre along with an all-star Latin cast including Alfonso Herrera, Dolores Fonzi and Fernanda Castillo.
The young Madrid-based actor previously appeared in the limited series, “Ni Una Mas” (“Raising Voices”), based on a novel by Miguel Size Caral. The series debuted on Netflix with a 25.4 million viewers and has been the most watched non-English language drama globally for two weeks. She broke out in the Spanish series “Skam España” based on the hit Norwegian teen drama.
