Brookseals is back in Hope Valley. The actor will be appearing in three episodes of the upcoming season 13 of Hallmark’s “When Calls the Heart.”
Shields first appeared in two episodes of the drama in 2016 during the third season of the show. She recreates her role as Jack’s mother, Charlotte Thornton, in three episodes. (Jack, depicted by Daniel Lysing, died off-screen in Season 5.)
The films from the Beloved Period starred Erin Krakow, Kevin McGarry, Jack Wagner, Chris McNally, Pascare Hutton and Kaban Smith. The new season is scheduled to premiere on Hallmark Channel in 2026, and will be streamed on Hallmark+ the following day.

Season 12 ended in March, with Elizabeth (Krakow) and Nathan (McGarry) heading over to stay in the boarding house of their former stepmother (Shield). The new season includes “a heartwarming connection between Charlotte and his grandson Little Jack (Highland Goodrich).

“When Calls the Heart” is based on a novel by Janette Oke of the same name. This is a Canadian entertainment production related to Brad Clevoy TV and believes in photography. Brad Klevoy, Brian Bird, Michael Landon Jr., Joy Gregory, Mike Roll, Jimmy Townsend, Amy Hartwick, Erin Krakow, Susie Beltzberg and Michael Shepherd are executive producers. Vicki Sotheran and Greg Malcolm are producers.
