Liam Cunningham, the star of “Three Body Issues” and “Game of Thrones” in BAFTA-AWARD, is a self-proclaimed “Nepopady” thanks to game developer Len Cunningham.
In August, Blumhouse Games released the Co-op Gothic Horror Video Game, “Eyes of Hellfire,” to Earty Access, a game inspired by Irish folklore, developed by Len Cunningham’s Dublin-based indie video game studio Gambrinous.
According to Blumhouse, “Hellfire Eyes,” “each player embraces hidden curses and twists their abilities and motivations as they explore the lodge’s ever-changing rooms.
The complex issue is a potential host character (voiced by Liam Cunningham, the father of Len Cunningham) who controls the player’s reality.
“My dad essentially hosted the tabletop role where I played murder mystery parties when I was a child, where he played this host role and did all this.
“Costume!” Liam Cunningham is known for his role as Davos Seaworth in HBO’s “Game of Thrones.”
“Full costumes, full voices, whole Shevan,” Len Cunningham said with a laugh.
“For your birthday,” added Liam.
“For my birthday, for Halloween – I’ve always been a big Halloween person, I’m excited right now,” Len said. “So it was actually one of those things that made me think the host really worked for him.”
“I officially – I might be the first in the world. I’m claiming that – I’m Nepodad,” Liam said. What’s involved is, when this was presented to me, I couldn’t say he was really annoying.
Len Cunningham explains that when the Gambrinous team began developing Eyes of Hellfire, published by Blumhouse Games, there were no real villains.
“When we originally started planning it, the game was based on a set of real abandoned sets of Dublin hanging in cities in the Dublin Mountains, and we originally planned that the ruins themselves were some sort of villain,” Len said. “But I thought I love writing villains so I need to give it a try. So I came up with the idea of hosts like this game master, narrator, antagonist.
“And turn them to friends!” Liam added.
“Then when I wrote it down, I wonder who got about this, he flashed in my mind at my birthday party,” Ren said. “And I was, oh, God. And when I thought about it, I honestly couldn’t think of anything else.”
“Eyes of Hellfire” is currently on sale on Steam. BlumhouseGames also offers a bundle of 2024 release “Fear The Spotlight.”
