Prince Harry and Meghan Markle pay tribute to Jane Goodall.
Jane Goodall Institute, a well-known conservationist and animal welfare advocate, died of natural causes in Los Angeles during a speaking tour. Announced on Wednesday, October 1st. She was 91 years old.
“Dr. Jane Goodall was a visionary humanitarian, scientist, planetary friend and friend of us,” Prince Harry, 41, and Prince Meghan, 44, said in a statement people obtained.
“Her commitment to life-changing is beyond what the world saw and what we personally felt,” they said. “She hugged our son Archie when she was first born and gave her love and care to those who were given the privilege of knowing her. She is deeply overlooked.”

In addition to building a bond with Harry and Meghan, Goodall was also damized in 2004 by Harry’s father, then King of Wales – now King Charles.
Harry and Goodall met in December 2018 when they invited her to Kensington Palace to discuss common environmental concerns.
In June 2019, Goodall stopped by Frogmore Cottage, the home of the Windsor couple, and chatted with Harry that month ahead of the Jane Goodall Institute’s Roots & Shoots Youth program’s global leadership meeting at Windsor Castle.
Goodall told Daily Mail’s Weekend Magazine during his visit, “Meghan (Markle) came to listen to Archie,” adding that he could not resist the opportunity to hold the boy. Prince Archie was born on May 6, 2019.
“He’s very small and very sleepy,” she told the outlet. “I’m not very happy about being handed over by his mummy.”
The following month, at a Roots & Shooting Meeting, Harry invited Goodall to famously for an improvised dance. And they recreated the sweet “chimpanzee greetings” they taught him when they first met.
Goodall was known as the world’s leading chimpanzee figure after studying decades in the wild at Gombestream National Park in Tanzania.
