Amal Clooney and her husband George celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary on Thursday, and were spotted holding hands on the red carpet at the New York Film Festival just two days later to promote George’s new film, “Jay Kelly.”
For the event, Amal rang out in the fall season in a celebratory 3D flower mini dress from Oscar de la Renta.
The dress features a deep red velvet bandoe top and a structural skirt with a vibrant poppy applique design.
Often, choosing a longer, elegantly draped silhouette, Amal chose to make this young, flirty dress from the design house a bit more fun.
The designer of the same name from Oscar de la Renta passed away shyly a month after Clooney got married, but it was he who personally designed the gown for the event.
The exterior on Monday night was a subtle anniversary nod from the late designer. The label is currently under the direction of co-creators Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia. However, the duo just announced that they would resign from their position and leave another vacant seat among the major fashion houses, and it soon changes.
Amal and George recently stepped onto the red carpet to promote “Jay Kelly” at the premiere of the Venice Film Festival in August, cancelling their previous promotional appearances due to “bad sinus infection.”
New York City Arm-in Arm, they look better than ever.
