Universal’s Downton Abbey: Grand Finale continued to attract audiences during the third weekend, adding $1.8 million for a total of $18.1 million.
Warner Bros. ‘The Conjuring: Last Rites’ ranked fourth with $1.1 million, bringing its cumulative total to $22.1 million. Lionsgate UK’s “The Long Walk” came in fifth place, winning $630,000 for a total of $4.9 million.
Disney’s “The Roses” followed at $466,000 in sixth place, reaching $12.4 million overall. Lionsgate UK’s horror sequel, “The Strangers: Chapter 2,” came in at #7 with $448,000, while Dreamz Entertainment’s Telugu language film, “They Call him OG,” approached the eighth place with $439,000.
The anime hit “Demon Slayer: Kimett No Yaiba Infinity Castle” was released by Sony Pictures, and fell to 9th place, earning $436,000 for a total of $8.4 million. To close the top 10, Universal’s “The Bad Guys 2” added $318,000, bringing the total to $18.3 million.
In the upcoming release, on October 1st, the Trafalgar release will bring two remastered BTS concerts back to the cinemas. On the same day, the screenbound photo unveiled “The Tale of Skid: Scotland’s No. 1 Punk Band,” a documentary by Mark Slopper featuring Richard Jobson, while Dreams Entertainment introduces Richa Buschetti’s highly anticipated Indian prequel, “The Legend of Kantara A: Chapter 1.”
October 2nd will be an experimental fusion project distributed by the film, along with “Radiohead x nosferatu: a Symphony of Horror,” through Film Fan Entertainment, to release the Bollywood romance “Sunny Sanskari Kitulshikumari,” along with “Radiohead x nosferatu: a Symphony of Horror.” The horror classic “The Curse of Frankenstein,” directed by Terence Fisher and starring Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee, returns to 4K repair from the hammer/icon.
The crowded slate arrives on October 3rd. This is led by Justin’s chip thriller “He,” starring the universal thriller of Justin Chipping starring Marlon Wayan, Julia Fox and Tyrik Wizards, and Justin’s chip thriller “He” starring entertainment film distributor Benny Safdy, starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt. Other highlights include Jills Legardinier’s “Mr. Blake of Your Service,” starring Jackie Chan and Tony Leon Ca Fai, John Malkovic, Fannie Aldanto and Emily Decuenne in Trinity Cinici’s “The Edge of Shadow,” and Audrey Lammy Lammy Starler “Bridgede.”
The opening is a Sony drama led by Embeth David and Lexi Venter, with the opening theme of “Let’s Go to the Dogs Tonight.” Universal’s “he.” A kaleidoscope entertainment documentary revisiting the cult musical with “Strange Journey: The Story of Rocky Horror,” a kaleidoscope entertainment documentary with Richard O’Brien, Tim Curry and Susan Sarandon. Picturehouse Entertainment’s “Urchin” and Dartmouth Films’ activist Doc “Power Station” will expand their lineup.
Anniversary reissue is also part of this week’s offering. Park Circus celebrates James Bond with a re-release of Golden Eye on October 5th, with Disney returning James Cameron’s “Avatar: The War of Water” to the cinemas. The Trafalgar release continues to perform concert programming at the “BTS 2019 & 2021 Concert Marathon” and “2025 Valorant Champions Tour: Finals in Cinema.”
