“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Kathy Hilton is opening his home for good reason.
12 dinners at Hilton’s Estate were $40,000 for $40,000 on a live auction at the Project Angel Food Angel Awards Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday night.
Project Angel Food is a meal delivery organization for critically ill residents across Los Angeles County
Two wine bids for lunch, each for $16,000.
The first lot – two tickets for the “Evil: For Good” world premiere in New York City in November, along with round-trip flights and hotel accommodations – sold for $13,000.
In total, the evening raised $950,000 for Project Angel Food, making it the most successful Angel Award since 2019.
The event, held at the Paramount Studios Lot in Hollywood, celebrated the Angel Awards with longtime Project Angel Food Supporter and Volunteer Jennifer Tilly. Cedars-Sinai was recognized at the Liverseve in Love Angel Award, announced by Variety Marc Malkin and approved by Peter L. Slavin, CEO of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Cedars-Sinai Health System.
Tilly said he is accepting the award on behalf of Project Angel Food Staff and volunteers working behind the scenes. She praised the driver for delivering the meal. “I think emotional nutrition is just as important as nutrition you eat,” said Tilly, presented by Hilton.
Slavin of Cedars-Sinai said, “We are willing to accept this award, but we want to thank Project Angel Food colleagues, everything they do, the heroic work they do.
Loni Love, Caroline Rhea, “Wings” co-stars Steven Weber and Amy Yasbeck, Charo and Project Angel Food CEO Richard Ayoub also appeared on stage.
“What I learned this year is that fire can destroy buildings, but not human spirit,” Ayub said. “The federal government can cut our funds, but we don’t cut our services. Food is not an option. Compassion is not an option. Giving up is not an option. Project Angel Food brings out the best in Los Angeles and hope is alive!”
The program began with three songs set by GoGo frontwoman Belinda Carlyle. Celebrity auctioneer Harry Santa Olala held a live auction. Guest lists also included Cheryl Tiegs, Kirsten Vangsness, LA County supervisors Lindsey Horvath, Michael Corbett, Mike Stoller, Shannon K and Stuart O’Keeffe.
