Elaine Hendrix will compete in season 34 of Dancing With The Stars. And she had one of her biggest cheerleaders at home every week, Lisa Ann Walter.
The two starred together in the Disney classic The Parent Trap in 1998 and have remained close friends ever since. In fact, hendrix, 54, 62, is called her “life security blanket” while chatting with people at the second week of DWTS show in Los Angeles.
“(Dance Partner) Alan (Bersten) is my show security blanket and Lisa is my life’s security blanket,” she says. “And I look at her and I’m calming down quickly.”
“She knows,” says Hendrix, who continues as an Abbott Elementary School star. “We know each other well and we know what to say to each other, so when I start to stand on the edge she knows how to get me back and how to calm me down.

Asked if the team’s handshake and name were there, Bersten, 31, said, “We’re stuck with that incredible handshake and we’re proud of it.” Hendrix and The Dance Pro incorporated some of the iconic handshakes into their choreography during the 34th season premiere of DWTS.
“Our team name is Team Partner Trap,” adds Bersten.
As for Walter, Hendrix says her previous co-stars are planning to be “here every week” to support her during her DWTS journey.
Walter opened up about the pair’s friendship in an exclusive interview with people last year, calling Hendrix “the best friend of the whole world.”
“She’s beautiful, she’s charming, and she’s all funny as she goes out. I love her so much. She’s also a great caretaker,” Walter said.

She also revealed that the two friends have looked into each other’s dating apps to help them choose their future dates.
“If any of us are brave enough to join the online or in the app and see everyone, she’ll send me her choice,” Walter said. “She says, ‘How about this guy?’ And, “I think it might be fun,” but we then talk to each other.
In 2023, amidst astonishing developments, Hendrix and Walter discovered connections to the history of their respective families. Walter revisited the streets and buildings that live on New York City’s Lower East Side, an unfamiliar premiere episode of Ancestry’s YouTube series.
She learned that longtime friend Hendrix also has similar roots. Hendrix’s great grandparents lived just a block away from Walter’s great grandparents on Elizabeth Street in the early 1900s.
“Of course they knew each other,” Hendrix said in the episode. “It was destiny,” he added.
Discussing an unfamiliar episode of the time, Walter told people that she was the first person she called since meeting Hendrix during an audition for the Familiar Trap.

“I have to call my life partner, Elaine, and tell her that this has happened, this audition is coming, or that Jabloni is sobbing that broke my heart,” Walter said. “She was the person I called. Everyone has someone who checks in on everything in their lives, and Elaine is for me.”
