Prince William admits that his wife, Kate Middleton’s cancer battle has hit him.
“I think 2024 was the toughest year I’ve ever had,” Royal shares in an episode of Eugene Levy on AppletV+’s “The Recructant Traveller.”
He adds, “You know, we have a life to test us, and that is what overcoming us is that we overcome.”
William also keeps an eye on the segment, which airs in full on October 3rd. He has three small children so he is a “important part of (his) life” and therefore sleep is the amount he prioritizes.
A candid look at the future King’s life comes after Middleton, who revealed a cancer diagnosis in March 2024 – she shared that she was in remission.
“My sincere gratitude is given to all those who walked quietly with (Prince) William and me, as we navigated everything,” the Princess of Wales wrote on Instagram in January.
Middleton was treated to chemotherapy, which she once admitted to be “incredibly tough” as she fought a fatal illness.
But even after she was cancer free, the princess spoke about the lasting effects of her health grief.
“You put a kind of brave face and put Stoicism through treatment. The treatment is done, and it’s like, ‘I can crack and get back to normal,’ but in reality (not that),'” she said during a July visit to Colchester Hospital.
“It’s a roller coaster and isn’t as smooth as you would expect. But the reality is, you’re going through difficult times.”
Sources say Middleton and William, 43, are currently looking for a new start for themselves and their children — Prince George (12, 10), and Prince Louis, 7, are the reason they are moving into a new family home.
“The move gives them a new start and a new chapter, and they have the opportunity to leave more unfortunate memories,” a source told the Sun in August.
A Kensington Palace spokesman confirmed on page 6 at the time that the Welsh family will be relocating to new residences “later this year.”
