Vince McMahon, Linda McMahon and their two children, Shane McMahon and Stephanie McMahon Levesque, are among the most famous families in wrestling.
During the marriage process, the former couple welcomed two children. They were son Shane in 1970 and daughter Stephanie in 1976. The whole family, including Shane and Stephanie, achieved high positions in WWE.
But mixing business with family wasn’t easy. “I advise anyone, don’t take your family to the business,” Vince told 2024’s Netflix Docuseries Mr. McMahon. “It’s cruel. It’s going to explode somewhere along the line.”
In June 2022, Vince was the subject of a Wall Street Journal investigation and reported that he paid a large amount of money to his employees to cover allegations of sexual misconduct and infidelity. At the time, Stephanie temporarily replaced her father and became WWE Chairman and Co-CEO.
Stephanie resigned from the role in January 2023, when her father returned to work. Vince finally resigned in January 2024 after being accused of sex trafficking and sexual assault in a complaint in the US District Court for the Connecticut district. The lawsuit is ongoing.
In November 2024, the Washington Post confirmed that Vince and Linda, who are now secretaries to the Department of Education under the Trump administration, had separated.

Linda and Vince welcomed their first child, son Shane, on January 15th, 1970.
Shane began his WWE career as a judge and announcer in the debut version of the 1999 Sunday Night Heat, according to WWE Bio.
In 2010, Shane left WWE and “pursuing external ventures,” he announced in a statement. McMahon and Shane in 2024 looked back at life-changing career moves.
“It was a really difficult decision for me to leave behind the only thing I love and the only business I ever wanted to work in my life,” he said. “But my dad is particularly strong at the helm, and I thought, ‘Well, if it’s time for me to try something specific, that’s the time.’
However, Shane returned to WWE in February 2016 and was commissioner for Smackdown Live following Bio.
Shane reportedly married his wife, Marissa Mazzarra Mukumahon in the late 90s. They share three sons: Declan (born 2004), Kenyon (born 2006), and Logan (born 2010).

In 2016, Shane had the privilege of running with his sons at WrestleMania 32.
“It’s an experience I’ll never forget in my life,” he told ESPN’s sports centre at the time. “Imagine that you can make your three sons part of the greatest entertainment of all time.”

The couple welcomed their second child, daughter Stephanie, on September 24, 1976.
Stephanie first created a WWE debut modeling t-shirt in the WWE shop catalog. Since then, Stephanie has taken up various executive roles, serving as headwriter for the franchise, director of creative writing and chief brand head.
Stephanie also fought for years in the ring and won the women’s championship in 2000.
After a brief leave, Stephanie was promoted to WWE co-CEO and chairwoman in 2022 when Vince resigned. However, Vince returned in January 2023, and as a result, Stephanie handed her resignation from the company.
“I look forward to cheering on WWE from the other side of business, where I started as a young child as a pure fan,” she wrote in a letter shared on X.
Stephanie also met her husband, wrestler Triple H (real name is Paul Levesque) through WWE. Their relationship began as an on-screen storyline. In December 1999, Triple H played against Armageddon’s Vince, and Stephanie cheered for Triple H.

Although they initially had little off-screen interaction, Stephanie quickly realized she had caught feelings for Triple H, but she remembered that 2013 documentary Triple H – Your Kingdom is coming.
“I was forbidden to date any of the wrestlers, and (Triple H) was frivolous to me,” she continued. “You’d think, ‘No, he’s not frivolous.’ This is because it is forbidden. He’s not really flirting. He’s just doing the storyline. ” “
After a four-year date, Stephanie and Triple H got married in October 2003. They have since welcomed three daughters, Aurora Rose, Murphy Clare and Vaughn Evelyn.
Stephanie is not against her daughter who will be participating in WWE, but she must prove herself first.
“I believe in a strong work ethic and I believe they can do anything in the world they want to do, but they have to trust themselves and work hard,” she said in an October 2019 episode of First Things First.
In April 2025, Stephanie announced she’s returned to WWE via her new podcast, What’s Your Story.
