Cardi B, who is hoping for a baby along with her boyfriend Stephon Diggs, has issued a poignant statement with another woman about the NFL star’s father’s drama.
“Hello Barbara? This is Shirley,” and the “Bodak Yellow” rapper mentioned Shirley Brown’s 1974 R&B song “Women to Women,” which reached out to another woman whose man is cheating on her.
“It’s your baby’s dad, bitch? That’s my baby’s dad too,” Cardi, 32 added.
“What now? I don’t know. We get that, bitch.”
The “Bongos” host’s comments come days after news surfaced that 31-year-old Diggs is facing a father-son lawsuit from a woman who claimed to be the father of her five-month-old daughter Charlie.
According to court documents obtained on page 6, Irene Lopera (known on social media as Lord Giselle) filed a petition in December 2024 to determine parental relationships in California Superior Court in Los Angeles.
The fashion Nova clothing model, who was pregnant at the time of the filing, listed the New England patriot star as the “parent” of her child at the time.
Lopella demanded that she be given legal and physical custody of the child, and that the diggs be given only the right to visit.
She also requested that athletes cover her pregnancy and birth costs as well as attorney’s fees.
In July, Diggs filed an answer to Lopera’s father’s lawsuit, saying that if he was Charlie’s father, born on April 2, he was “not sure.”
He asked for DNA testing to be performed.
The day after the father’s lawsuit made the headlines, TMZ dropped a video of Diggs leaving the hospital holding the baby’s carrier.
It is unknown that the woman was in the video, but Lopella’s lawyers only told Page Six that the client was not included in the clip.
“You can see that it’s not my client in the video and that she hasn’t been offered a car seat,” Lopera’s lawyer, Tamar Arminak, told Page Six on Friday.
“My clients look forward to the day when Mr. Diggs finally meets and approves and offers the young daughter they share,” Arminack added.
Last week, Cardi announced she was pregnant and was hoping for a baby with a wide receiver.
The “Up” rapper is also Mom to Daughters Kulture, 7, of 7, Blossom (1, Son Wave).
Cardi filed for divorce from the Migos rapper, 33, last summer.
Diggs is also the father of his daughter Nova and is said to have welcomed ex-Tyler Marie in October 2016.
