Twenty-five years after Patrick Fugit began his acting career, where he became almost famous and lead role, the star has now settled in life in Texas, far from Los Angeles and Hollywood.
Fugit, 42, tells people that he and his wife, Jenny Del Rosario, moved to Texas in 2019 with a child born “around three years ago.”
“I grew up in Utah, but the energy in LA never resonated,” says Fugit. “I love being on set, I love character development and scene development. I love storytelling. I love being around other actors and great directors. I love making films. And such auditions and things like that are almost like different art forms, or different parts of business.”
“I think I’ve really focused on my family through adult life and intimate circles of people. My wife and I had our first child in 2019 and were in LA. “2020 was a very dynamic time in Los Angeles, and in fact, it wasn’t dynamism that we really liked.”
He said, “We wanted to have a big garden and a trampoline with chickens and goats in the backyard and cool s that we have for our kids.”

Today, Fugit is content that maintains the distance between himself and LA when he is not working.
“It was really not available in LA like we wanted, so I always appreciated the slow and small town,” Fugit says of the physical space and land that families enjoy in Texas.
“I love going out and we’re in a pretty country place here, and I love it. It’s clearly positivity and flaws in terms of acting. It used to be in LA when we got together for an audition.
