The Golden Globe Awards will expand its presence next year with CBS’s “Golden Eve” Primetime Special and the slate at the Golden Week event in Los Angeles, leading up to the 83rd Annual Ceremony on January 11th.
The “Golden Eve” special features highlights from the Globes Tribute Award, Cecil B. DeMille Award and Carol Barnet Award presentations. It will air on CBS and Paramount+ on January 8th. This year, Grove held another ceremony for these accolades presented to Viola Davis and Ted Danson. Recipients for 2026 will be announced soon.
Planning for events and celebrations in Los Angeles is designed to create buzz and build a community within the entertainment industry. CBS will promote Golden Week themes significantly, including integration with the scope of the CBS show. (Disclosure: The Golden Globes and Dick Clark Produce own PMC, the parent company of Variety.)
“We’re looking forward to seeing you in the future,” said Jay Penske, CEO of Dick Clark Productions. “On ‘Golden Eve’, we celebrate the most talented and influential figures in the industry and recognize the prestigious Cecil B. DeMille and Carol Barnett Award winners. This approves the people who gave a deep appreciation of our culture the moment they receive an award for more than two minutes. Cultural events are the basis of award seasons. ”
As the ceremony approaches, details of the Golden Week plan are approaching.
“CBS has long been advocating for excellence in arts and entertainment, which will continue in 2026,” said Amy Lazenbach, president of CBS Entertainment. “We celebrate Golden Eve and Golden Week, CBS and Paramount’s Golden Globes, creating an immersive experience that brings viewers closer to one of Hollywood’s most iconic events. ”
The expansion of glove-themed activities has long been the goal of award organizers. Globe management has undergone major transformation over the years as it shifted from the nonprofit Hollywood foreign press. It becomes a commercial venture owned by PMC.
“The Golden Globes have always celebrated their incredible talent. “Golden Eve” brings viewers closer to the legacy of our winners and bring these icons closer to the audience.” “We are excited to create an unforgettable night of TV with CBS and Paramount as we celebrate these legends.”
