Ray J claims he won’t live much longer.
“2027 is definitely the end for me,” the 45-year-old said in a video clip shared to social media on Tuesday night. “That’s what they say.”
When a friend who appeared in the video protested, “Don’t say that” and “fuck the doctor,” the singer held his head in defeat.
“I shouldn’t have tried so hard, brother,” he lamented, adding, “The baby’s mama is going to be straight, and the kids are going to be straight. If you want to spend money, you can spend it. I’ve done my part here.”
“And damn, when it’s all over, burn me, stop burying me,” he instructed.
The singer then sent a shoutout to his parents and sister Brandi, who reportedly helped him out by taking him to the doctor and paying his bills for “the rest of the year.”
Ray J (real name William Raymond Norwood Jr.) gave an update on his health on Sunday, sharing in another social media video that he was “almost dying.”
“My heart is only beating at about 25 percent, but as long as I stay focused and continue on the right path, everything will be fine. Thank you for everyone’s prayers,” he explained.
A representative for Ray J did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
This followed news earlier this month that he was suffering from yet another health scare.
Sources told TMZ on Jan. 7 that the “Love & Hip Hop” personality experienced “heart pain” and was admitted to the hospital with severe pneumonia.
The outlet reported in October 2021 that the “One Wish” hitmaker was hospitalized in Miami with the same illness.
It’s been a tumultuous time for the singer, both personally and legally, as he battles with his health.
After he claimed in September that he had a federal extortion case against Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner, the reality TV stars fired back by suing him for defamation and slamming his “patently false” claims and “calculated falsehoods” in court documents obtained by Page Six.
Ray J doubled down on his accusations that Jenner and Kardashian were behind the former couple’s infamous sex tape leak, countersuing them for lying about the 2007 video for decades.
Kardashian-Jenner’s attorney Alex Spiro called the move “frivolous” in a November statement to Page Six.
In December, Ray J was arrested for allegedly brandishing a gun at his estranged wife Princess Love and threatening to shoot a man on a Thanksgiving livestream.
Princess Love, who has two children with Ray J, filed for divorce for the fourth time in February 2024.
